Timber Frame Construction
Acceptable Construction Details
Typical Inspection Reports
Opes in load-bearing timber frame panels need to be taken into consideration at design stage. Each ope individually requires a lintel at the head of the ope (to be installed at the factory) and associated cripple studs on each side. The quantity of cripple studs required is calculated on the size of the ope.
